Elizabeth Tydd was appointed NSW Information Commissioner and CEO of the Information and Privacy Commission NSW in 2013. In April 2016, in addition to her current role, she was appointed NSW Open Data Advocate.
Ms Tydd has extensive regulatory, legal, policy and advisory experience in a range of jurisdictions and industries and has held positions as Executive Director, Office of Liquor Gaming and Racing and Assistant Commissioner of the Compliance and Legal Group, NSW Fair Trading.
Ms Tydd holds a Bachelor of Laws together with a Master of Laws from the University of Technology, Sydney and has also completed post graduate certificate studies in executive management and governance. Ms Tydd holds a number of Board and advisory committee appointments.
