Formed in 2010, ETDA was set up under the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT) to function as the main agency responsible for developing, promoting and supporting electronic transactions in Thailand. It now comes under Ministry of Digital Economy and Society. Proposed Cybersecurity Bureau will function under ETDA.ETDA provides various services such as consultancy on electronic transactions policies and planning, in-depth statistical analysis on the country’s electronic transactions, legal issues related to electronic transactions, electronic transactions security and standards, including digital forensics and essential infrastructure for electronic transactions.
ETDA also provides training services to enhance skills, capacity and expertise of security personnel in Thailand. Technical and practical trainings are also offered to e-commerce operators and interested parties.
