University of Sydney and NTU Singapore enter into partnership for engineering research
Engineers from the two institutions are collaborating on
research in diverse areas ranging from artificial intelligence (AI) and food
technology to clean energy and waste management.

The programme has three pillars: AI research, AI technology
and AI innovation. The first is about fundamental research, the second seeks
to identify and address grand challenges and the third is about industry
innovations across sectors and building a talent pipeline.

The jump in capacity and lifespan would enable a shift to
long data, driving the discovery of new insights through the mining and
preservation of huge datasets that capture changes in the real world over
decades and centuries.
ASEAN-Japan Cybersecurity Capacity Building Centre to be launched in Thailand in June 2018
The Centre aims to develop the cybersecurity workforce in ASEAN,
particularly in governmental agencies and Critical Information Infrastructure
operators in ASEAN, training at least 700 cybersecurity personnel in the region
in four years.
