India has embarked on a dynamic journey of digital transformation, harnessing the power of technology to drive innovation, foster scientific curiosity, and ensure equitable access to digital solutions across all sectors of society. A significant milestone in India’s digital evolution is the recent launch of the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Technology/Product Booklet and the Transfer of Thermal Camera Technology to Industry. Developed under the InTranSE Program of MeitY by CDAC Thiruvananthapuram, the indigenous thermal camera technology represents a paradigm shift in innovation.

With its multifaceted applications spanning smart cities, industries, defence, and healthcare, this technology holds the promise of revolutionising various domains, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring safety.

The exchange of technology transfer documents, witnessed by esteemed officials such as Shri S Krishnan and Shri Bhuvnesh Kumar from MeitY, symbolises India’s commitment to fostering homegrown technological solutions. Through strategic partnerships with industry leaders like M/s Aditya Infotech (CP Plus), India is not only driving innovation but also laying the groundwork for sustainable technological advancement.

This aligns closely with the overarching theme of Vikshit Bharat @2047, which emphasises the importance of innovation, science, and technology in India’s developmental trajectory.

Concurrently, India is actively nurturing the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators through initiatives like the Scientific Excursion organised by the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) – Advanced Materials and Processes Research Institute (AMPRI) in collaboration with the Knowledge & Awareness Mapping Platform (KAMP). This immersive excursion, attended by over 250 students from various schools, seeks to ignite a passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) among the youth.

Under the guidance of eminent scientists like Dr D.P. Mondal and Dr. Satanand Mishra, the students were provided with hands-on experiences in state-of-the-art laboratories, allowing them to explore cutting-edge scientific concepts and methodologies firsthand. AMPRI’s rich legacy as a hub for scientific research and innovation serves as a testament to India’s commitment to nurturing talent, fostering collaboration, and promoting scientific inquiry from an early age.

Furthermore, India is actively championing the importance of health, hygiene, and sanitation with cutting-edge technology through initiatives like the Swachhata Pakhwada organised by CSIR-NIScPR. Renowned cardiologist Prof Shridhar Dwivedi’s lecture on the intrinsic link between cleanliness and well-being underscored the holistic approach India is taking towards public health. His message resonated with attendees, highlighting India’s unwavering commitment to promoting cleanliness and hygiene as integral components of national development.

Prof. Ranjana Aggarwal, Director of CSIR-NIScPR, reiterated the institute’s dedication to scientific awareness, evidence-based policy research, and the promotion of scientific literacy among the public. Through initiatives like Swachhata Pakhwada, India is fostering awareness and action towards creating a healthier, more sustainable future for all its citizens.

India’s commitment to digital transformation, scientific progress, and societal well-being is evident through its multifaceted initiatives aimed at harnessing technology, nurturing talent, and promoting scientific inquiry.

OpenGov Asia reported the Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare’s integration of pension portals from all disbursing banks into the Integrated Pensioners’ Portal, aimed at improving pensioners’ ease of living. This initiative, highlighted by Secretary V Shrinivas during the launch ceremony, underscores the government’s commitment to pensioner welfare through digital empowerment, demonstrated by initiatives like Digital Life Certificates and the Bhavishya Portal.

India’s broader emphasis on digital transformation, under the mantra of ‘Minimum Government and Maximum Governance’, aims to create a digitally empowered society through initiatives like DigiLocker, streamlining processes and promoting inclusivity in governance, healthcare, education, and finance.

By fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and championing scientific literacy, India is poised to emerge as a global leader in the digital age, driving progress and prosperity for all its citizens.
